Trauma

It has been proven, time and time again, that complicated orthopedic trauma is best handled at dedicated trauma centers. Most hospitals do not have either the equipment or the staff to provide care for severe trauma victims.

However, Northwest Community Hospital has all the facilities and staff to provide 24/7 emergency treatment of the most complicated trauma, such as car accidents, crushing injuries, or falls from great heights.

As some of the few orthopedic surgeons in the greater Chicago area, our doctors are extremely well-qualified to handle all aspects of complicated orthopedic trauma. We are able to perform minimal incision, percutaneous insertion of fixation devices, and arthroscopically assisted fracture fixation. We also treat complications of trauma such as deformity, delayed/nonunion, and loss of function.

Fortunately, most trauma does not require such heroic measures, but our doctors can apply any or all of these techniques as needed to deliver the best possible result, both functionally and anatomically.
